Welcome to the Varitrials 2011!

We are pleased to invite you for a round through our Varitrials. All necessary background information can be found in the “Trials set-up”. All Cyclamen are grown at ebb/flood tables from the moment they have been spaced and we have modified the fertilization for the most compact growth.

From week 36 onwards we have made pictures from each variety every week from the same camera position. By sun and shadow some pictures are a little bit dark, we regret that we were not able to avoid this. We are convinced that these Varitrials give you a good view of the F1 Cyclamen world market again.

In every segment we show our standard variety with next to that the new or possible introductions for coming years and the comparing species from other breeding companies. In total almost 300 varieties are shown in the Standard-, Standard fringed-, Mini-, Micro and Outdoor segment. New this year is the Intermezzo Fringed, which can be seen in the trials for the first time.

This year we have chosen to place the Cyclamen in the D-Grade® Bio pot. We want to experience if the growing of Cyclamen in biological broken down pots has differences to growing the Cyclamen in regular plastic pots.

On the selection page of the Varitrials you first select the segment of your choice, after that you select the variety name and then the colour of the variety. You then select the second variety which you want to compare with the first and click “compare”.
